Item 2: Non-Profit Status 

• Current Status-Sue

             LCCO has a active IRS 501  ( c ) (3) as of May 15, 2023

             IRS form to be completed in January by Sue and Karen

 

Item 3: Organizational structure options

• Mission Statement/North Star
  • Will take a look at our current mission statement. Jerry to send to board for input and suggested changes.

• Role of Board – Board is not a problem solver but a facilitator  to direct community to appropriate services
• Committee Members – Invite community members to participate in various committees at our  June 29th, Saturday Community-wide meeting
• Street Captains:  Aaron will provide the original street captain documents, and Joan will retype the (New) Residence Pact/Agreement for Street Captains Letter to the community regarding meetings and involvement – Street captains will deliver June meeting notices.

                 Randy will review past agendas to see what still needs to be reviewed.

• Update on Gas Station:  Jerry has been in contact with owner, real estate agt., and Matt LaVier.  Project depends on funds and grant writing.
