Things to know about our cleanup event:

July 5 morning Beach Cleanup-meet 9 am at beach entrance

We love our beach and hate to see litter on it.  Please join the town in an annual cleanup the day after the holiday to pick up the spent fireworks, beer cans, and general litter that escapes the attention and conscience of our beach guests.  Of course it is common and suggested  practice to have a beach walk with a trash bag to pick up litter all year round-the bending over is a purposeful form of yoga

What to bring & what to wear

Protection from the sun, gloves and sturdy foot protection.  Pickers and Trash bags will be provided.

Thank you to all the volunteers that participated in this years July 5 beach cleanup.  There were pickers all over the place and the  amount of old and new debris collected was significant.  Than you to Maryellen and Eavo for their leadership in organizing and staging the event-A strong showing for the LC Beautification Committee.  Remember to throw a trash bag into your beach bag and keep the spirit of this event going year round!
